SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: G0 - Messages for SAP Consolidation

  • Message number: 083

  • Message text: Simultaneous transport of several validations can cause an error

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Either you elected to simultaneously transport the assigned
validations, or the selection under "&V1&" can cause more than one
    validation to be included.
Simultaneously transporting multiple validations along with the
respective messages can be dangerous. Such a transport can fail,
especially if the various validations being transported use the same
    message class.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Consider the possibility of transporting the relevant message classes
in a separate transaction rather than with the validations. If you want
to do this, deselect the indicator "Also transport messages" under
    "&V1&".
Should you decide to transport the messages with the validations,
ensure that no message class is not already locked by its inclusion in
the current transport request. You may need to release further requests
and restart the program to transport the remaining validations.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message G0083 - Simultaneous transport of several validations can cause an error ?

The SAP error message G0083 indicates that there is an issue with the simultaneous transport of multiple validations in the system. This error typically arises when multiple validation objects are being transported at the same time, which can lead to conflicts or inconsistencies in the data or configuration.

    Cause:

    1. Simultaneous Transport: The primary cause of this error is the attempt to transport multiple validation objects at the same time. This can happen if multiple transport requests are being processed concurrently that include validations.
    2. Dependency Issues: There may be dependencies between the validations being transported, which can lead to conflicts if they are not processed in the correct order.
    3. System Locking: The system may have locking mechanisms that prevent multiple validations from being transported simultaneously to avoid data integrity issues.

    Solution:

    1. Sequential Transport: To resolve this issue, transport the validation objects one at a time instead of simultaneously. This ensures that each validation is processed without interference from others.
    2. Check Dependencies: Review the dependencies between the validations and ensure that they are transported in the correct order. If one validation depends on another, transport the dependent validation first.
    3. Transport Management: Use the Transport Management System (TMS) to manage and monitor transport requests. Ensure that no other transport requests are being processed that could conflict with the validations.
    4. Error Logs: Check the transport logs for any additional error messages or warnings that may provide more context on the issue. This can help identify specific validations that are causing the problem.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to transport issues and validations for any specific recommendations or patches that may address the problem.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide guidance on best practices for transporting validations.
    • Transport Requests: Familiarize yourself with how transport requests are structured and managed in SAP, including the use of the Transport Organizer (SE09/SE10).
    • Validation Configuration: Understand how validations are configured in your SAP system, including any dependencies or relationships between different validation objects.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the G0083 error and successfully transport your validation objects without issues.
