What causes this issue?

For performance reasons, business partner address texts are being read
from a buffer table.

System Response

<ZH>Advantage:</> The runtime for reading a business partner text is
reduced from approx. 20 milliseconds to approx. 0.06 milliseconds (a
factor of 300!). With reports containing a large number of business
partners this reduces the runtime by many minutes (for example, 50,000
business partners = 17 minutes), which would otherwise be used only for
reading texts.
<ZH>Disadvantage:</> Some business partner texts may no longer be
up-to-date, and will therefore be displayed incorrectly.

How to fix this error?

You can set the minimum number of business partners required for texts
to be read from the buffer table in your system. The default setting
(in the report, not in the system) is 10,000. The current value is &V1&
. If you want to change the default value (reduce it to 1,000, for
example), you should change the value of the control parameter 'MAXBP'
using the transaction <DS:TRAN.TRMP_PERFORMANCE_ST>Set Parameters for
Business Partner Texts</>.
If you set the value for the control parameter to 1, the system will
read <ZH>all</> business partner texts from the buffer table. This is
the optimum setting with regard to runtime.
If you set a very high value for the control parameter (1,000,000 for
example) the system will read </>ZH</>no</> business partner texts from
the buffer table. This is the optimum setting for up-to-date data.
Enter the control parameter without formatting characters, otherwise a
short dump will occur. In other words, enter 1000000, and not
1,000,000.

Procedure for System Administrators

The buffer table is generated automatically when the business partner
texts are read. You therefore do not need to make entries in the table
yourself. If you nevertheless wish to do this, you can use one of your
own programs (table FTI_BUT000_T). Note that only business partners
from the following areas belong in this table:
CFM
CML
Market risk
Credit risk
These are currently the only areas that are connected to the buffer
mechanism.
We recommend that you reorganize the buffer table from time to time to
keep the data up-to-date. You should use transaction
<DS:TRAN.TRMP_PERFORMANCE_BP>Reorganize Business Partner Texts</>. This
enables you to select according to different criteria, such as:
Business partner
Language key
Changed by
Date changed
You can then select all the items in the resulting list, and delete the
selected lines afterwards.
