  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message FSH_PP_ORD019 - No planned orders exist for material &1 in plant &2 ?

The SAP error message FSH_PP_ORD019 indicates that there are no planned orders available for a specific material in a given plant. This error typically arises in the context of production planning and can occur for various reasons. Below are the potential causes, solutions, and related information for this error message.

    Causes:

    1. No Demand for the Material: There may not be any sales orders, forecasts, or other demand sources that would trigger the creation of planned orders for the material in question.
    2. Incorrect Planning Parameters: The planning parameters for the material might not be set correctly, leading to no planned orders being generated.
    3. Material Master Data Issues: The material may not be set up correctly in the material master, such as missing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) views or incorrect plant settings.
    4. Planning Horizon: The planning horizon may not include the time frame for which you are trying to create planned orders.
    5. MRP Run Not Executed: If the MRP run has not been executed, there will be no planned orders generated for the materials.
    6. Stock Levels: If there is sufficient stock on hand, the system may not generate planned orders as it determines that there is no need for additional production.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Demand: Verify if there are any sales orders, forecasts, or other demand sources for the material in the specified plant. If there is no demand, consider creating a sales order or adjusting the forecast.
    2. Review Planning Parameters: Check the planning parameters in the material master (MRP views) to ensure they are set correctly. This includes checking the MRP type, lot size, and other relevant settings.
    3. Update Material Master: If necessary, update the material master data to ensure that all required MRP views are maintained and correctly configured.
    4. Adjust Planning Horizon: Ensure that the planning horizon is set appropriately to include the period for which you are trying to create planned orders.
    5. Execute MRP Run: If the MRP run has not been executed, run the MRP process for the relevant plant and material to generate planned orders.
    6. Check Stock Levels: Review the current stock levels for the material. If there is sufficient stock, consider whether additional planned orders are necessary.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You can use transaction codes like MD04 (Stock/Requirements List) to check the current stock and requirements for the material.
    • MRP Configuration: Familiarize yourself with MRP configuration settings in SPRO (Customizing) to ensure that the system is set up correctly for your planning needs.
    • Material Master Data: Use transaction MM03 to view the material master data and ensure all necessary information is correctly maintained.
    • MRP Run: The MRP run can be executed using transaction MD01 (Total Planning) or MD02 (Single Item Planning).
