Message text: Formula does not contain any items with the evap. or absorption substance
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
With evaporation or absorption, the substance that is specified in theTo avoid a division by zero, the system terminates the evaporation
calculation and does not change the specified evaporation in the
composition.
In the <LS>Composition</> and <LS>Ingredients</> formula views, the
system converts the evaporation to a negative input item. This enables
you to transfer the calculated data to the data that is to be entered
manually.
If required, add the substance for evaporation or absorption to the
relevant input items.

- Formula does not contain any items with the evap. or absorption substance ?The SAP error message FRMLCALC012 indicates that a formula in the system does not contain any items that are classified as either an evaporation or absorption substance. This error typically arises in the context of formula management, particularly when dealing with chemical substances in SAP's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar modules.
Cause:
- Missing Substance Definition: The formula you are trying to use may not have any components defined as evaporation or absorption substances. This could be due to incorrect or incomplete data entry.
- Incorrect Formula Configuration: The formula may not be set up correctly in the system, leading to the absence of required components.
- Data Integrity Issues: There may be issues with the data integrity of the substances or the formula itself, such as missing links or incorrect classifications.
Solution:
Check Formula Components:
- Go to the formula in question and review its components. Ensure that at least one of the components is classified as an evaporation or absorption substance.
- If necessary, add the appropriate substances to the formula.
Review Substance Classifications:
- Check the classification of the substances used in the formula. Ensure that they are correctly classified as evaporation or absorption substances in the system.
- If a substance is missing the correct classification, update it accordingly.
Validate Formula Configuration:
- Ensure that the formula is configured correctly in the system. This includes checking the settings and parameters associated with the formula.
- If you find any discrepancies, correct them and save the changes.
Consult Documentation:
