Message text: Tracing FACTS in conjunction with any other traces is not recommended
Trace has been activated for FACTS I and II attribute derivation along
with one or more other derivation traces. This is not recommended
because the FACTS derivation occurs at a later stage in the posting
process than the other traces. As a result, the FACTS trace logs will
overwrite the trace logs for the preceding steps.
This warning message is issued.
You may choose to ignore the warning and continue. Generally, if you
view the trace results within the calling transaction, the result will
be valid. However, it is possible that viewing trace logs will cause a
short dump.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Tracing FACTS in conjunction with any other traces is not recommended ?The SAP error message FMFG_BLEXT013 indicates that tracing FACTS (Financial Accounting and Controlling) in conjunction with other traces is not recommended. This message typically arises when there is an attempt to run multiple traces simultaneously, which can lead to performance issues or conflicts in the tracing process.
Cause:
- Simultaneous Tracing: The primary cause of this error is the attempt to trace FACTS while other traces (like performance traces or other application traces) are active. This can overload the system and lead to inaccurate or incomplete trace data.
- System Performance: Running multiple traces can significantly impact system performance, leading to slow response times or even system hangs.
Solution:
- Disable Other Traces: Before starting the FACTS trace, ensure that any other traces are disabled. This can be done through the transaction codes like ST01 (System Trace), ST05 (SQL Trace), or ST12 (Combined Trace).
- Use FACTS Trace Alone: Run the FACTS trace independently to avoid conflicts. You can do this by using transaction code FMFG and selecting the appropriate options for tracing.
- Check for Background Jobs: Ensure that there are no background jobs running that might also be using tracing. If necessary, schedule your tracing activities during off-peak hours.
- Review Trace Settings: Make sure that the trace settings are configured correctly and that you are only tracing what is necessary for your analysis.
