    All variants (except SAP01) have another variant as reference. This
    other variant transfers controlling functions for each variant. As long
    as a variant is entered as a reference in another variant, it cannot be
    deleted.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    The variant is not deleted.

    How to fix this error?

    Delete all variants derived from variant &1, and then repeat the
    transaction.
