Message type: E = Error
Message class: FKK_SCALE_OUT - FI-CA: Partitioning
Message number: 028
Message text: The no. of jobs(&1) must be the no. of the index server(&2) at the least.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
In Customizing, colocation groups are defined for the component &V3& for
&V2& index server that are to be processed on this index server. Since
every job always only reads and processes data during parallel pr
ocessing, at least &V2& jobs are therefore necessary to be able to read
all application data.
In the productive run, this warning takes the form of an error message
and the run is not started.
In debugging mode, this warning can be ignored as in this case only one
job is started that carries out the processing successively for all
defined index servers and so that all data is selected.

FKK_SCALE_OUT028
- The no. of jobs(&1) must be the no. of the index server(&2) at the least. ?The SAP error message FKK_SCALE_OUT028 typically occurs in the context of SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) or SAP Convergent Invoicing (SAP CI) when there is a mismatch in the configuration of jobs and index servers. The error indicates that the number of jobs specified must be at least equal to the number of index servers configured in the system.
Cause:
- Configuration Mismatch: The number of jobs defined in the system is less than the number of index servers. This can happen if the system was not configured correctly or if there were changes made to the index server configuration without adjusting the job settings accordingly.
- System Scaling: If the system has been scaled out (i.e., additional index servers have been added), but the job configuration has not been updated to reflect this change, the error will occur.
Solution:
- Check Index Server Configuration: Verify the number of index servers configured in your SAP system. This can usually be done through the SAP CC or CI configuration settings.
- Adjust Job Configuration: Increase the number of jobs to match or exceed the number of index servers. This can typically be done in the configuration settings where jobs are defined.
- Review Documentation: Consult the SAP documentation for your specific version of SAP CC or CI to understand how to properly configure jobs and index servers.
- Restart Services: After making changes to the configuration, it may be necessary to restart the relevant services or the entire system to ensure that the changes take effect.
