FINS_SIS_CUST129
- Project &1 is released; no changes are allowed ?The SAP error message FINS_SIS_CUST129 indicates that a project is in a released status, and as a result, no changes can be made to it. This is a common scenario in project management within SAP, particularly when using the Project System (PS) module.
Cause:
The error occurs because the project you are trying to modify has been released. In SAP, once a project is released, it is locked for changes to ensure data integrity and to prevent any modifications that could affect reporting or financials. This is a standard control mechanism in project management to maintain the accuracy of project data.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you have a few options:
Check Project Status: Verify the status of the project. If it is indeed released and you need to make changes, you may need to revert the project status back to a state that allows changes (e.g., "In Process"). This typically requires specific authorizations.
Unrelease the Project: If you have the necessary permissions, you can unrelease the project. This is done through the transaction code CJ02 (Change Project) or CJ20N (Project Builder). You would need to:
- Open the project in the project builder.
- Change the status from "Released" to "In Process".
- Make the necessary changes.
- Release the project again if needed.
Consult with Project Manager: If you do not have the necessary permissions to change the project status, consult with the project manager or the person responsible for project governance. They may need to approve the changes or perform the unrelease action.
Review Configuration: If this is a recurring issue, it may be worth reviewing the project management configuration settings in your SAP system to ensure that the project lifecycle and status transitions are set up according to your organization's needs.
