  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

For the current expression, there are two or more context data objects
defined with the same name '&v1&'. Although BRFplus identifies its
elements internally by their ID rather than by their name, the system
still requires unique element names for each context data object when it
comes to simulation. Therefore, all context data objects passed to an
expression that you want to simulate must have a unique name.

    System Response

    The expression cannot be simulated.

    How to fix this error?

Make sure that all context data objects of the current expression have a
unique name. To accomplish this, proceed as follows:
In the BRFplus workbench, navigate to an object with an ambiguous name.
Expand the <ZH>General</> section to see the object's administrative
    data.
On the <ZH>General</> tab, click <ZH>Rename</> next to the <ZH>Name</>
field and change the object name.
Repeat the above steps until there are no more context data objects left
    with duplicate names.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Solution:

    1. Check Context Configuration: Review the context nodes and their bindings in the Web Dynpro application or Fiori app. Ensure that they are correctly defined and that there are no overlapping or conflicting definitions.
    2. Review Data Model: Ensure that the data model being used is consistent and that all required fields are populated correctly. Look for any missing or null values that could lead to ambiguity.
    3. Parameter Validation: Verify that all necessary parameters for the simulation are provided and correctly configured. Ensure that there are no typos or incorrect values.
    4. Debugging: Use debugging tools to trace the execution of the application and identify where the ambiguity arises. This can help pinpoint the exact location in the code or configuration that is causing the issue.
