Message text: Decision table does not contain any generic cells, rearrange not possible
You have tried to rearrange the current decision table data based on
generic cells (i.e., empty cells which evaluate to true regardless of
any input value for the given column). Rearranging rows of a decision
table has the effect that the rows containing generic cells are moved to
the end of the decision table. This ensures that during evaluation, the
more specific cells take precedence over the generic ones.
However, the system has detected that the current decision table does
not contain any generic cells to be rearranged.
The decision table cannot be rearranged and remains unchanged.
Due to the cell content of the current decision table, rearranging table
cells has currently no effect on this object. The operation works only
if a decision table contains generic cells. In case there are no generic
cells, this operation can be omitted.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

FDT_EXPRESSIONS269
- Decision table does not contain any generic cells, rearrange not possible ?The SAP error message FDT_EXPRESSIONS269 indicates that a decision table does not contain any generic cells, which means that the system cannot rearrange the decision table as requested. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP's Flexible Decision Table (FDT) framework, which is used for defining business rules in a structured manner.
Cause:
- Lack of Generic Cells: The decision table is expected to have generic cells (cells that can match multiple values) to allow for rearrangement. If all cells are specific (i.e., they match only one value), the system cannot perform the rearrangement.
- Incorrect Configuration: The decision table may not have been set up correctly, leading to a situation where it lacks the necessary generic cells.
- Data Entry Issues: There may be an issue with how the data was entered into the decision table, resulting in a lack of flexibility in the cell definitions.
Solution:
- Add Generic Cells: Review the decision table and ensure that there are generic cells defined. Generic cells can be defined using wildcards or ranges that allow for broader matching criteria.
- Reconfigure the Decision Table: If the decision table is not set up correctly, consider reconfiguring it to include generic cells. This may involve changing the conditions or values in the cells to allow for more flexibility.
- Check for Errors in Data Entry: Review the data entered into the decision table for any mistakes or omissions that may have led to the absence of generic cells.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly configure decision tables and the use of generic cells.
