An object with ID &V1& does not exist in the database.
An object with ID &V1& does exist, but the object type does not match

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Invalid node &1; ID does not exist or has the wrong object type ?The SAP error message FDT_CORE087 indicates that there is an issue with a node in the context of the Flexible Data Import (FDI) framework. Specifically, the error states that the node ID does not exist or has the wrong object type. This can occur in various scenarios, such as when working with data models, data mappings, or during data import processes.
Causes:
- Invalid Node ID: The node ID referenced in the error message does not exist in the system. This could be due to a typo or an incorrect reference.
- Wrong Object Type: The node ID exists, but it is of a different object type than what is expected. For example, if the system expects a certain type of node (like a data field) but finds a different type (like a group or structure).
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues in the configuration of the data model or mapping that lead to incorrect references.
- Transport Issues: If the data model or related objects were transported from one system to another, there may be inconsistencies or missing objects in the target system.
Solutions:
- Verify Node ID: Check the node ID mentioned in the error message. Ensure that it is correctly spelled and exists in the system.
- Check Object Type: Confirm that the node ID corresponds to the expected object type. You can do this by reviewing the data model or mapping configuration.
- Review Configuration: Go through the configuration settings for the data model or mapping to ensure that all nodes are correctly defined and referenced.
- Transport Validation: If the issue arose after a transport, verify that all necessary objects were included in the transport request and that they are correctly activated in the target system.
- Debugging: If you have access to debugging tools, you can trace the execution to see where the error is being triggered and gather more context about the issue.
