Message text: Allocation factors of cost object &1 have different units of measure.
For cost object &V1& of type &V2& (InfoObject &V3&), allocation factors
exist in different units of measure. Cost simulation uses the allocation
factors as the basis for determining a tariff for the cost object (for
example, cost center). The system can only determine one tariff for each
cost object. It is therefore essential that the data of a cost object
contain only allocation factors in the same unit of measure.
The system aborts processing of the planning function.
Correct the allocation factors that you entered and ensure that you only
enter allocation factors with the same unit of measure for a cost
object.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

FCOM_PLANNING_CORE116
- Allocation factors of cost object &1 have different units of measure. ?The SAP error message FCOM_PLANNING_CORE116 indicates that there is a discrepancy in the units of measure for allocation factors associated with a cost object. This typically occurs during the planning or allocation processes in SAP, particularly in the context of controlling (CO) or financial planning.
Cause:
The error arises when the allocation factors for a cost object are defined with different units of measure. For example, if one allocation factor is defined in "hours" and another in "units," SAP cannot process the allocation correctly because it requires consistency in the units of measure.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:
Check Allocation Factors:
- Go to the relevant transaction (e.g., KP06 for cost center planning) and review the allocation factors for the cost object in question.
- Ensure that all allocation factors are using the same unit of measure.
Adjust Units of Measure:
- If you find that the allocation factors are indeed using different units, you will need to adjust them to ensure consistency. This may involve converting one of the factors to match the other or redefining the factors to use a common unit.
Review Master Data:
- Check the master data for the cost object to ensure that the units of measure are correctly defined. This includes reviewing the cost center, internal orders, or any other relevant cost objects.
Re-run Planning:
- After making the necessary adjustments, re-run the planning or allocation process to see if the error persists.
Consult Documentation:
- If you are unsure about the correct units of measure to use, consult the SAP documentation or your organization's financial planning guidelines.
Seek Help from SAP Support:
- If the issue continues after checking the allocation factors and units of measure, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the FCOM_PLANNING_CORE116 error and ensure that your cost allocation processes run smoothly.
