Message text: Planning function &1 can't find sender and receiver cost objects.
The system could not determine the characteristics that correspond to
the cost objects and their associated partner objects.
Planning function &V2& of type 'Cost Simulation' (/ERP/SFIN_FT01) has a
tabular parameter 'Characteristics for Cost Objects & Partner Objects'.
In this parameter<(>,<)> a maximum of three pairs of Cost Object
Characteristics / Partner Object Characteristics (for example<(>,<)>
/ERP/COSTCNTR / /ERP/PCOSTCTR) can be maintained.
Unless the parameter is maintained, the system attempts to determine the
characteristics dynamically from the fields of aggregation level &V1&.
If this fails, an error message is generated and processing of the
planning function is aborted.
The system aborts processing of the planning function.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Ensure that the "Cost Object Characteristics" and "Partner Object
Characteristics" parameters are maintained correctly in the parameters
of the planning function.

- Planning function &1 can't find sender and receiver cost objects. ?The SAP error message FCOM_PLANNING_CORE109 indicates that a planning function is unable to find the sender and receiver cost objects during the execution of a planning process. This error typically arises in the context of SAP's Controlling (CO) module, particularly when dealing with planning functions in the context of cost center planning, profit center planning, or internal orders.
Causes:
- Missing Cost Objects: The sender or receiver cost objects (like cost centers, internal orders, or profit centers) may not exist in the system or may not be correctly defined in the planning function.
- Incorrect Planning Function Configuration: The planning function may not be properly configured to reference the correct cost objects.
- Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the master data or planning data that prevent the system from identifying the cost objects.
- Authorization Issues: The user executing the planning function may not have the necessary authorizations to access the specified cost objects.
- Versioning Issues: The planning version being used may not have the relevant cost objects defined.
Solutions:
- Check Cost Object Existence: Verify that the sender and receiver cost objects exist in the system. You can do this by checking the relevant master data (e.g., cost centers, internal orders).
- Review Planning Function Configuration: Go to the planning function configuration and ensure that the sender and receiver cost objects are correctly defined. Make sure that the planning function is set up to use the correct cost objects.
- Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks on the master data and planning data to identify any discrepancies. You can use transaction codes like KAH1 (for cost centers) or KOB1 (for orders) to check the data.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the cost objects involved in the planning function. You may need to consult with your SAP security team.
- Check Planning Version: Ensure that the planning version being used is correct and that it includes the necessary cost objects. You can check this in the planning version settings.
