  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message FCC1412 - Only values maintained in Template will be imported for assigned items ?

The SAP error message FCC1412, which states "Only values maintained in Template will be imported for assigned items," typically occurs in the context of data import processes, particularly when using the SAP Financial Closing cockpit or similar tools that involve templates for data entry.

    Cause:

This error generally arises due to the following reasons:

    1. Template Configuration: The template used for importing data may not have the necessary values or configurations set up correctly. If the template does not contain the required data for the assigned items, the system will restrict the import to only those values that are explicitly defined in the template.

    2. Data Mismatch: There may be a mismatch between the data being imported and the structure or requirements defined in the template. This can include issues such as incorrect data types, missing fields, or values that do not conform to the expected format.

    3. Item Assignment: The items being imported may not be correctly assigned to the template, leading to the system not recognizing them as valid for import.

    Solution:

To resolve the FCC1412 error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Template Configuration:

      • Review the template to ensure that it contains all the necessary fields and values for the items you are trying to import.
      • Make sure that the template is correctly set up to include the items you are working with.
    2. Validate Data:

      • Ensure that the data you are trying to import matches the structure and requirements of the template. Check for any discrepancies in data types, formats, or missing values.
      • If necessary, adjust the data to conform to the template's requirements.
    3. Reassign Items:

      • Verify that the items you are trying to import are correctly assigned to the template. If they are not, you may need to reassign them or create a new template that includes the necessary items.
    4. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on how to configure templates and import data correctly.
    5. Testing:

      • After making the necessary adjustments, perform a test import with a small set of data to ensure that the issue has been resolved before attempting a full import.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance on template configuration and data import processes.
    • SAP Community: Engage with the SAP Community forums to see if other users have encountered similar issues and what solutions they have found.
