Message text: Segment reporting for fixed assets is not activated
Segment reporting for fixed assets is <ZH>not</> activated. When segment
reporting is activated, the <LS>Profit Center</> and <LS>Segment</>
fields are included in the asset master records. Furthermore, this
activates consistency checks on postings for these fields. This is the
prerequisite for performing a consistent reorganization for fixed
assets.
It is <ZH>not</> possible to reorganize fixed assets.
Depending on whether you want to use segment reporting and whether you
want to reorganize fixed assets, proceed as follows:
If you do <ZH>not</> want to use segment reporting and do <ZH>not</>
want to reorganize fixed assets, proceed as follows:
In Customizing for the <LS>Reorganization</>, remove the object type
<LS>Fixed Asset</> from the derivation hierarchy before you create a
reorganization plan. You do this in the activity
<DS:SIMG.FAGL_R_DERH_DEL_DC>Remove Object Types from Derivation
Hierarchy</>.
If you do want to use segment reporting and want to reorganize fixed
assets, proceed as follows:
First activate segment reporting in Customizing for Asset Accounting
with the activity "Activate Segment Reporting":
Ensure that the prerequisites listed in this activity are met.
Set the indicator for activating segment reporting.
Perform the other activities specified in this activity. This is only
possible when none of the reorganization plans are open.
Now you create a reorganization plan.
