  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You want to assign a new ledger to a company code. The date from which
this assignment becomes valid is determined using the migration date.
However, the migration date is in the past.

    System Response

Data can only be built subsequently in the new ledger that has been
assigned provided that the new ledger is <ZH>not</> intended to replace
an existing account approach. Otherwise, the necessary conversion
    activities <ZH>cannot</> be performed.

    How to fix this error?

If you want to replace an existing account approach with the new ledger,
you need to cancel the maintenance dialog and specify a migration date
in the future. You can then assign the ledger to the company code.
If you want to implement the new ledger without using it to replace an
existing account approach, you can save the entry. Note, however, that
this increases the effort required for building consistent data for the
    ledger.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    1. Migration Date Set Incorrectly: The migration date you have entered is earlier than the current date. This can happen if the migration date is not updated or if there is a misunderstanding about the required date.

    Solution:

    1. Check Migration Date: Review the migration date you have entered. Ensure that it is set to a date that is today or in the future.
    2. Update Migration Date: If the migration date is indeed in the past, update it to a valid date that meets the requirements of your migration process.
