Message text: Changed depreciation terms are not adopted automatically in areas &1
You have changed the depreciation terms in a depreciation area.
However, according to its Customizing settings, this depreciation area
is a reference depreciation area for one or more other depreciation
areas. This means that the other areas adopt depreciation terms from
this area.
The changes you made will also apply for those dependent depreciation
areas which have the indicator
<DS:DE.XINDID>Identical Depreciation Terms Copied</> set.
For dependent depreciation areas which do <ZH>not</> have the indicator
<LS>Identical Depreciation Terms Copied</> set , your changes do <ZH>not
</> automatically apply.
To save the asset, you close the warning message by pressing <LS>Enter
</>.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

FAA_MD041
- Changed depreciation terms are not adopted automatically in areas &1 ?The SAP error message FAA_MD041, which states "Changed depreciation terms are not adopted automatically in areas &1," typically occurs in the context of Asset Accounting (FI-AA) when there are changes made to the depreciation terms of an asset, but those changes have not been applied to all relevant areas of the asset.
Cause: Manual Changes: The depreciation terms for an asset may have been changed manually, but the system does not automatically propagate these changes to all areas (e.g., book depreciation, tax depreciation, etc.) associated with the asset.
Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the asset accounting module that prevent automatic updates of depreciation terms across all areas. Asset Master Data: The asset master data may not be set up correctly, leading to inconsistencies in how depreciation terms are applied.
Solution: Manual Update: You can manually update the depreciation terms for the affected areas. This can be done through the Asset Master Data transaction
