What causes this issue?

Neither a <GL:company_code>company code</> nor a <GL:sales_area>sales
area</> were entered.

How to fix this error?

For the sales area, enter the sales organization, distribution channel
and division. You can display the sales areas valid for customers by
selecting "Extras" --> "Sales areas" --> "All areas". In the same way,
you can display all areas already created for the present customer by
selecting "Customer sales areas".
