Message text: Activity terminated because errors occurred during package checks
When the package check is switched on, Dictionary objects can only be
activated if they do not contain any package check errors.
If you initiate a package check starting from the ABAP Dictionary tools,
only the active version of the Dictionary object will be used for the
check. The package check for an inactive version of a Dictionary object
will only be performed during activation of the object.
If the <ZH>inactive </>version of a Dictionary object contains package
errors, activate the corresponding object in the respective Dictionary
tool. You will see an error message displayed for each package error.
If the <ZH>active </>version of a Dictionary object contains errors, you
will receive a list of the package errors displayed - provided you
perform the package check within the Dictionary tool in question. For
this purpose, choose the menu path <ZK>Check </>> <ZK>Package Check </>
in the corresponding Dictionary tool. Alternatively, you can perform a
package check for all development objects of the package concerned.
Check whether the package that contains the Dictionary object with
errors has sufficient use access and, if necessary, enter the missing
use access authorizations.
To analyze the package error for inactive versions, display the
respective package in the navigation tree of the Object Navigator (S
E80). Then choose the function <ZK>Check </>> <ZK>Package Check </>>
<ZK>Object Usage in Current Package</> from the context menu of the
package node. Alternatively, you can execute the report
<DS:REPN.PAK_EXPLAIN>PAK_EXPLAIN</>.
As soon as the package errors have been eliminated, you can activate the
Dictionary object again.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
