  • What causes this issue?

You are trying to edit an SAP object that has already been changed or
    enhanced in the current system.
This can be one of the following:
    A change (without Modification Assistant)
    A modification (with Modification Assistant)
    A note implementation

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

An upgrade or the import of a support package imported a version of the
object that was changed by SAP. The new SAP version, however, has not
yet been compared with the changed version.

    System Response

The system denies access in change mode or enhancement mode until the
    objects have been compared.

    How to fix this error?

Run the modification adjustment (SPAU) for the object.
If the object is supported by Modification Assistant, you can
compare/adjust it by clicking the stoplight.
If the object was not changed using Modification Assistant, but by
including notes using Note Assistant, the notes in question must be
compared/adjusted. You can use transaction SPAU and a selection by
object type and object name to find out which note is locking the object
for changes. Alternatively, you can use the report
    RS_FIND_NOT_ADJUSTED_OBJECTS.
