Message class: ESH_IEF_MSG - Import/Export Framework
Message number: 098
Message text: Req. &1 contains objects from various syst(&2). It needs more task types
The changes actually done refer to objects who are original in various
systems. The selected request to be used to transport these changes
should contain more than one task. The request needs a task to collect
the changes done to objects in the actual system (correction
/development) and a task to collect the changes done to objects from
other systems (repair).
A request with at least two unclassified and modifiable tasks for the
current user would also work. By saving of changes the system choose one
task to collect the corrections and the other task to collect the
repairs.
The save of the changes is denied.
Create another task for the current user in the request.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Req. &1 contains objects from various syst(&2). It needs more task types ?The SAP error message ESH_IEF_MSG098 indicates that a request (in this case, a transport request) contains objects from multiple systems, which is causing an issue with the task types. This typically occurs in the context of the SAP Enterprise Search or when dealing with transport requests that involve multiple systems or clients.
Cause:
- Mixed System Objects: The transport request includes objects that originate from different systems (e.g., development, quality assurance, production) or clients. This can happen if you are trying to transport objects that were developed in different environments without proper segregation.
- Task Type Limitations: The transport request may not have the appropriate task types to handle the objects from different systems. Each system may have specific requirements for the types of tasks that can be included in a transport request.
Solution:
- Review the Transport Request: Check the transport request to identify which objects are included and from which systems they originate. You can do this by using transaction code SE09 or SE10.
- Separate Objects: If the transport request contains objects from different systems, consider creating separate transport requests for each system. This will ensure that each request only contains objects relevant to a single system.
- Adjust Task Types: If you need to include objects from multiple systems, ensure that the transport request has the necessary task types. You may need to adjust the configuration or create additional task types to accommodate the objects.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to transport management and the specific error message for additional guidance and best practices.
