Message class: ENHANCEMENT - SAP customer enhancement project messages
Message number: 022
Message text: CAUTION: This transaction is for customer use ONLY -> F1
Transaction CMOD is used by customers to choose and edit SAP
enhancements and should only be used by customers.
Use transaction SMOD when editing SAP enhancements internally (menu
path: --> Workbench --> Utilities --> Enhancements --> Definition).
If you absolutely have to use CMOD internally (for example, to test an
activation) pay attention to the following:
Activation:
During activation all components (function modules, reserved function
codes...) are set to "active".
If you do not deactivate them "in time", the following can happen:
If corrections containing components are transported while an
enhancement is active, then the components in question are active in
all target systems and even for customers as well!
THUS THE ENHANCEMENT SHOULD BE DEACTIVATED IMMEDIATELY AFTER TESTING!
Correction/Transport:
If a correction containing the entry R3TR CMOD... is transported and
the enhancement is active, then the enhancement is active in all target
systems as well! --> This correction should NEVER be transported! You
should create your own correction when testing in CMOD that you can
delete after you have finished testing.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
