When creating or changing register groups, device installation, device
replacement, and device modification, you must enter a register code.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Enter a valid register code.
If this error occurs during device replacement, you can enter the
register code in the register group transaction or during device
modification.
If the error occurs during billing-related device installation or device
replacement, during which you have to create a device info record, you
can enter the register code in the register group transaction.
You make this setting in Customizing for <LS>SAP Utilities</> under
<LS>Device Management -> Technology -> Register Group -> Define
Permitted Values for Register Code</>.
