Message type: E = Error
Message class: EEDM_CALC_INST - IS-U: EDM Messages for Calculating Formula Instances
Message number: 097
Message text: Enter the interval size or the number of intervals
Intervals regarding the number of formula allocations to be calculated
are required for each time slice and hierarchy level for the parallel
calculation.
In doing so, you can differentiate between the number of intervals to
be created, and the size (number of formula allocations) in an
interval.
If, for example, 100 formula allocations are to be calculated in time
slice 1, hierarchy level 1, then if you specified 20 intervals, 5
formula allocations are allocated to each interval. If you specified
interval size 5, then 20 intervals are created.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This error indicates that the system requires either an interval size or the number of intervals to be specified for a calculation, but this information has not been provided.
Cause:
The error is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
- Missing Input: The user has not entered the required parameters for the calculation, specifically the interval size or the number of intervals.
- Configuration Issues: There may be a configuration issue in the system that prevents the proper input of these parameters.
- Data Entry Error: The user may have overlooked entering the necessary data in the relevant fields.
Solution:
To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:
Check Input Fields: Ensure that you have filled in all required fields related to the interval size or the number of intervals in the calculation screen. Look for fields labeled "Interval Size" or "Number of Intervals" and provide the necessary values.
Review Configuration: If you are an administrator or have access to configuration settings, check the configuration for the relevant calculation type to ensure that it is set up correctly to accept these parameters.
Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation or help files related to the specific module you are working with. This can provide insights into what values are expected and how to enter them correctly.
