  • What causes this issue?

You want to change the status of the IDocs to be aggregated to 01 'IDoc
Generated'. The IDocs are then not sent via the data exchange
infrastructure when you execute standard report RSEOUT00.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

However, the change was not made successfully. If you also use report

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message EDATEX101 - No status change was made for &1 IDocs to be aggregated ?

The SAP error message EDATEX101 indicates that there was an attempt to aggregate IDocs (Intermediate Documents) for processing, but no status change was made for the specified number of IDocs. This typically occurs in the context of IDoc processing and aggregation, which is often used in scenarios involving data exchange between SAP systems or between SAP and non-SAP systems.

    Cause:

    1. IDoc Status: The IDocs may already be in a status that does not allow for aggregation. For example, if the IDocs are already processed or in a status that does not require further action, the system will not change their status.
    2. Aggregation Criteria: The criteria defined for aggregation may not be met. This could be due to the IDocs not being eligible for aggregation based on their current status or other attributes.
    3. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the IDoc processing settings that prevent the aggregation from occurring as expected.
    4. Technical Issues: There could be underlying technical issues, such as database locks or inconsistencies in the IDoc data.

    Solution:

    1. Check IDoc Status: Review the status of the IDocs in question. You can use transaction codes like WE02 or WE05 to monitor the IDocs and their statuses. Ensure that the IDocs are in a status that allows for aggregation.
    2. Review Aggregation Settings: Check the settings for IDoc aggregation in your SAP system. Ensure that the criteria for aggregation are correctly defined and that the IDocs meet these criteria.
    3. Reprocess IDocs: If the IDocs are in a status that should allow for aggregation but are not being processed, consider reprocessing them. You can use transaction BD87 to reprocess IDocs.
    4. Check Configuration: Review the configuration settings related to IDoc processing and aggregation. Ensure that they are set up correctly according to your business requirements.
    5. Consult Logs: Check the application logs for any additional error messages or warnings that may provide more context about why the aggregation did not occur.
    6. Technical Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your SAP Basis or technical support team for further investigation. They may need to look into system logs or perform a deeper analysis of the IDoc processing.

    Related Information:

    • IDoc Types: Familiarize yourself with the specific IDoc types involved in the process, as different IDoc types may have different processing rules.
    • SAP Notes: Search for relevant SAP Notes that may address known issues or provide additional guidance on handling IDoc aggregation errors.
    • Documentation: Review SAP documentation related to IDoc processing and aggregation for best practices and troubleshooting steps.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify the cause of the EDATEX101 error and implement a solution to resolve it.
