SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: ECATT - eCATT Messages (Middleware and GUI)

  • Message number: 751

  • Message text: Check metadata for tested object; for details, see long text

  • Show details Hide details
  • PROBLEM and DIAGNOSIS:
eCATT can get data about the object to be tested and save it in the test
    script attributes.
For the SAPGUI and TCD commands, this test object data is determined
    using the automated SAP transaction.
The current transaction could be a system transaction that itself is not
to be tested, but calls the object that is to be tested. In this case,
the test object data that eCATT determines does not relate to the actual
test object or aim of the test.
You have to manually determine the test object data for the object
actually tested within the current transaction.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

When using the TCD or SAPGUI commands, the test object data is
determined using the SAP transaction entered as the "System Under Test"
    (SUT) in eCATT.
The following data is determined for this transaction:
    1.,,Package
    2.,,Application component
    3.,,Software component
    4.,,Current release of SUT
    5.,,Current support package of SUT
    EXAMPLE:
Transaction SE37 is a system transaction that can be used to start and
test function modules. The object actually being tested in this case is
    the function module.
If SE37 is automated using the eCATT SAPGUI or TCD commands, eCATT
determines the test object data for SE37, not for the function module
    actually being tested.
    PROCEDURE:
If necessary, determine the test object data of the actual test object
manually, and use this data for the attributes of your test script.
