ECATT585
- The activation of BC sets is not allowed in test script &1 ?The SAP error message ECATT585 indicates that the activation of Business Configuration (BC) sets is not allowed in the context of a test script. This error typically arises when you are trying to execute a test script that includes the activation of BC sets, which is not permitted in the current configuration or context.
Cause:
- Test Script Restrictions: The error occurs because the test script is designed to run in a test environment where certain actions, such as activating BC sets, are restricted to prevent unintended changes to the system configuration.
- Configuration Settings: The system may be configured to disallow the activation of BC sets during automated testing to maintain the integrity of the test environment.
- Script Design: The test script may have been designed without considering the limitations of the environment, leading to attempts to perform actions that are not allowed.
Solution:
- Modify the Test Script: Review the test script to ensure that it does not include any steps that attempt to activate BC sets. If necessary, remove or comment out those steps.
- Use a Different Environment: If you need to activate BC sets, consider doing so in a development or quality assurance environment where such actions are permitted, rather than in a test script.
- Check Configuration: Consult with your SAP Basis or configuration team to understand the restrictions in place and whether they can be adjusted for your testing needs.
- Documentation Review: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to eCATT (extended Computer Aided Test Tool) and BC sets to understand the limitations and best practices for your testing scenarios.
