Message text: All menus &1 are nested too deeply
A selection list of menus is not displayed. You cannot use the menus to
be copied or referenced because they are nested too deeply.
The nesting depth is equal to the sum of the longest path length for
the menu into which you want to insert and also to the longest path
length from the menu to be inserted.
Collisions can occur in several situations. For example, suppose that
the menu MEN1 to be inserted contains another menu MEN2 that consists
only of function codes. This menu is to be inserted into a menu MEN0
that is used in the menu bar. However, MEN0 is also used in another
menu bar at level 2. Since the nesting would be too deep in the second
menu bar, the insert is rejected.
Path length MEN0 = 2
Path length MEN1 = 2
2 + 2 > 3.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
If, with reference to the above example, you still wanted to insert
MEN1 into MEN0, you could use a copy of MEN0 in the second menu bar.
This would allow you to insert MEN1 into MEN0. The copy in the second
menu bar would then, of course, not contain the cascading menu MEN1.

EC129
- All menus &1 are nested too deeply ?The SAP error message EC129, which states "All menus &1 are nested too deeply," typically occurs when the menu structure in the SAP GUI exceeds the allowable depth of nested menus. This can happen when there are too many submenus or when the menu hierarchy is overly complex.
Cause:
- Excessive Nesting: The primary cause of this error is that the menu structure has too many levels of nested menus. SAP has a limit on how deeply menus can be nested, and exceeding this limit triggers the error.
- Custom Development: If custom transactions or programs have been developed that add additional layers to the menu, this can lead to excessive nesting.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration in the SAP system regarding menu structures can also lead to this error.
Solution:
- Simplify Menu Structure: Review the menu structure and try to simplify it by reducing the number of nested menus. This may involve reorganizing how transactions are grouped or accessed.
- Limit Customizations: If custom menus have been created, consider limiting the depth of these customizations. Ensure that custom transactions do not add unnecessary layers to the menu.
- Use Transaction Codes: Instead of navigating through menus, encourage users to use transaction codes directly to access transactions. This can help bypass the menu structure altogether.
- Check SAP Notes: Look for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this issue. SAP frequently releases updates and patches that may resolve known issues.
- Consult with SAP Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They may provide specific guidance based on your system configuration.
