Message class: DO - Dictionary: Mass activation of domains and data elements
Message number: 749
Message text: Activation caused by deletion of &
The message indicates that the last activation of the table or
structure was triggered by the deletion of the append structure or a
customizing include.
The table or structure had an append structure or customizing include
appended to it. The deletion of the append structure or customizing
include was executed, and so a subsequent activation of the dependent
table or structure which had previously appended the fields of the
append structure or customizing include was necessary.
This was to remove the fields of the append structure or customizing
include from the dependent table or structure.
For tables the automatically triggered subsequent activation must be
completed by adjustment in the database, which is noted in the log. The
adjustment in the database is supported by the database utility.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This error indicates that there was an issue related to the deletion of an object or component that is necessary for the activation process.
Cause:
- Deletion of Objects: The error is often caused by the deletion of a key object or component that is required for the activation of the DSO or InfoProvider. This could be a characteristic, key figure, or any other related object that has been removed from the system.
- Inconsistent Data Model: If the data model has been altered (e.g., through changes in the underlying data structure) without proper adjustments to dependent objects, it can lead to activation issues.
- Transport Issues: If the object was transported from one system to another and some dependencies were not included in the transport, it could lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Dependencies: Review the DSO or InfoProvider to identify any missing components or dependencies. Ensure that all necessary objects are present and correctly configured.
- Recreate Deleted Objects: If a key object has been deleted, consider recreating it or restoring it from a backup if possible.
- Adjust Data Model: If the data model has changed, ensure that all dependent objects are updated accordingly. This may involve modifying the DSO or InfoProvider to align with the current data structure.
- Transport Management: If the issue arose due to a transport, check the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects were included. You may need to re-transport the missing components.
- Activation Retry: After addressing the underlying issues, attempt to reactivate the DSO or InfoProvider.
