  • What causes this issue?

Node has been removed from the Child tree.

    System Response

The &V1& node was deleted from the Child tree as a step of the
Synchronization process. The reason is one of these:
    a) The node was deleted from the Parent tree
    b) The node was created in the Child tree under a node, which was
    deleted from the Parent tree

    How to fix this error?

If you want to restore the deleted node:
    1) Display the "Child version before synchronization" in the left pane
    2) Click on the deleted node in the Synchronization log - the deleted
node will be selected in the left tree (it does not exist in the right
    tree)
    3) Use the context menu to copy the node from the left tree and insert
it to the right tree. If the restored node was a Child node, the node
will have the same ID in both trees. If the restored node was parent
node, it will have a new ID in the Child tree, so the parallel
    navigation cannot be used.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The SAP error message DMEE678, which states "Node &1 has been removed," typically occurs in the context of the Data Medium Exchange Engine (DMEE) when generating payment files or other data formats. This error indicates that a node in the DMEE tree structure has been removed or is no longer valid, which can disrupt the file generation process.

    Cause:

    1. Node Deletion: The specific node referenced in the error message has been deleted from the DMEE tree structure. This could happen due to changes in the configuration or updates to the DMEE format.
    2. Incorrect Configuration: The DMEE tree may not be correctly configured, leading to references to nodes that do not exist.
    3. Version Mismatch: If there are multiple versions of the DMEE tree, the version being used may not match the expected structure.
    4. Data Mapping Issues: If the data mapping for the payment file is incorrect or incomplete, it may lead to references to non-existent nodes.

    Solution:

    1. Check DMEE Tree Structure:

      • Go to the DMEE transaction (usually transaction code DMEE) and check the tree structure for the specific format you are using. Ensure that the node referenced in the error message exists.

      • Review the configuration of the DMEE tree to ensure that all nodes are correctly defined and that there are no missing or incorrectly referenced nodes.
    4. Check for Updates:

      • If there have been recent updates or changes to the DMEE configuration, ensure that all relevant changes have been applied consistently across all environments.
    5. Test with Different Versions:

      • If you suspect a version mismatch, try using a different version of the DMEE tree that is known to work correctly.

      • Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to DMEE for any specific guidance on the error message and troubleshooting steps.
