Message text: Reactivate the referenced DDIC structure
In the error message that was listed immediately before this message, a
data dictionary structure is mentioned. For this structure, an
inconsistency was detected which happens only in rare cases and can
easily be repaired by reactivating this structure.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Invoke transaction SE11 to repair the structure mentioned in the
preceding error message. Specify the structure name and select
"activate" as activity to be performed. This reactivation of the DDIC
structure should remove the inconsistency. Then the activity to generate
the runtime objects can be repeated without problems.

- Reactivate the referenced DDIC structure ?The SAP error message DMC_RT_GEN021, which states "Reactivate the referenced DDIC structure," typically occurs in the context of Data Migration Cockpit (DMC) or when working with data structures in SAP. This error indicates that there is an issue with a Data Dictionary (DDIC) structure that needs to be reactivated.
Cause:
- Inactive DDIC Structure: The DDIC structure that is referenced in your data migration or data processing task is currently inactive. This can happen if the structure was modified or if it was never activated after being created.
- Transport Issues: If the DDIC structure was transported from another system and not activated in the target system, it may lead to this error.

Solution:
Reactivate the DDIC Structure:
- Go to the Data Dictionary (transaction SE11).
- Enter the name of the DDIC structure that is causing the issue.
- Check the status of the structure. If it is inactive, activate it by clicking on the "Activate" button.
Check for Transport Issues:
- If the structure was transported, ensure that all related objects are also transported and activated in the target system.
- Use transaction SE09 or SE10 to check the transport requests.
Review Changes:
- If there have been recent changes to the data model, review those changes to ensure that the DDIC structure is still valid and correctly defined.
Check Dependencies:
- Ensure that all dependent objects (like tables, views, etc.) are also active and correctly defined.
Recheck Data Migration Settings:
- If you are using the Data Migration Cockpit, ensure that the settings and mappings are correctly defined and that they reference the correct and active DDIC structures.
