Message text: &1: Cannot improve performance of initial load; see long text
For the migration object <(>&<)>SYST-MSGV1<(>&<)>, settings that improve
the performance of the initial load have been specified in both table
DMC_ACSPL_SELECT and table IUUC_PRECALC_OBJ. You can only specify
settings that improve the performance of the initial load in one of
these tables, not both.
The system cannot improve the performance of the initial load. The
system does not calculate the access plan for this migration object.
Decide which table you want to use to specify settings that improve the
performance of the initial load, and remove the settings from the other
table. Note that for table IUUC_PRECALC_OBJ, settings can only be
specified by using transaction SE16. Settings for table DMC_ACSPL_SELECT
can also be specified by using transaction SE16, but also by using
transaction LTRS (under Performance Options) if you are working in the
context of SLT data replication.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

DMC_GENERAL319
- &1: Cannot improve performance of initial load; see long text ?The SAP error message DMC_GENERAL319 typically indicates that there is an issue with the performance of an initial data load in the Data Migration Cockpit (DMC) or related data migration processes. This error suggests that the system is unable to optimize the performance of the initial load due to certain constraints or configurations.
Cause:
- Data Volume: The volume of data being loaded is too large, which can lead to performance bottlenecks.
- System Resources: Insufficient system resources (CPU, memory, I/O) can hinder the performance of the data load.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configurations in the DMC or the underlying database can affect performance.
- Network Latency: If the data is being loaded from a remote source, network latency can impact performance.
- Locking Issues: Database locks or contention can slow down the data load process.
- Batch Size: The batch size for data loading might be set too high or too low, affecting performance.
Solution:
- Optimize Data Volume: If possible, reduce the volume of data being loaded in a single operation. Consider breaking it into smaller batches.
- Check System Resources: Monitor system resources during the load process. If resources are constrained, consider scaling up the infrastructure.
- Review Configuration: Check the DMC and database configurations for any settings that could be optimized for performance.
- Adjust Batch Size: Experiment with different batch sizes for the data load to find an optimal setting.
- Database Maintenance: Ensure that the database is well-maintained, with regular updates, indexing, and cleanup to improve performance.
- Network Optimization: If applicable, optimize network settings or consider loading data from a closer source to reduce latency.
- Review Logs: Check the logs for any additional error messages or warnings that could provide more context on the performance issue.
