  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

A log entry that was selected by the selection criteria could not be
    archived.
    Possible reasons are:
Related log entry has a non-selected status ('Cancelled', 'Completed',
    or 'Confirmation Completed')
Related log entry has a status that cannot be archived at all (for
    example 'In Process')

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Only log entries with the status 'Cancelled', 'Completed', or
    'Confirmation Completed' can be archived.
A hierarchy of log entries is built up if a log entry has related log
    entries.
If a log entry has a status that was not selected, all related log
entries (the complete hierarchy of the log entry) wouldn't be archived.
Therefore you have to assure that all log entries have a status that can
be archived or have a status that is in sync with the selection
    criteria.
Example: The logbook has the following log entries (LE):
    Logbook1:
    LE1 'Cancelled'
    LE4 'Completed'
    LE5 'Completion Certified'
    LE2 'Completed'
    LE6 'Completed'
    LE3 'Completed'
    LE7 'In Process'
The selection criteria is: Logbook1 with status 'Completed'.
In this case, only LE2 and LE6 will be archived, because only in this
hierarchy is the selected status in sync with the status of the log
entries. LE4 is not archived because of the non-selected status of LE1
and LE5. LE3 is not selected because of the non-archivable status of
    LE7.
You can do one of the following:
If the status of the related log entry is not selected, you have to
change your selection criteria to archive this and the related log
entries too. (In the example: Change selection criteria to: Logbook1
with 'Completed', 'Cancelled', and 'Completion Certified'. Then, also
the hierarchy of LE1 will be archived.)
If the status of the related log entry is a not archivable one, you have
to change the status in the logbook (LBK1) to archive this and the
related log entries too. (In the example: Change the status of LE7 in
transaction LBK1 from 'In Process' to 'Completed' for example. Then,
also the hierarchy of LE3 will be archived.)
