Message type: E = Error
Message class: DAAG_PARTITIONING - Message Class for Partitioning
Message number: 036
Message text: Partitioning objects and groups are displayed based on the assigned roles
The roles are not displayed for the data aging object because:
+,,The role is not assigned to the user
+,,The user profile is not configured correctly
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
The system displays only the roles that are assigned to the user.
You can use the transaction PFCG to maintain values of the authorization
object S_DAGPTM in the role assigned to the user. A single sample role
(SAP_DAAG_ADMIN) is provided for administrators.
The SAP R/3 system uses the authorization object S_DAGPTM to perform an
authorization check for partitioning objects or partitioning groups. The
defined fields listed below should be maintained in the PFCG transaction
for the authorization object:
o,,Activity (ACTVT) - This field defines which general access
authorizations the user has. For example:
,,
Authorizations for S_DAGPTM,,
Authorization,,Value,,
Execute,,,,16,,
Display,,,,03,,
o,,Partition Type (PT_TYPE) - This field defines whether the
authorization is to be applied to a partitioning object or
partitioning group.
o,,Partition ID (PARTITION) - This field provides the name or ID of the
partitioning object or partitioning group to which the user has access.

- You can do this by navigating to the user management area in SAP (Transaction code: SU01) and reviewing the roles assigned to the user.
Assign Appropriate Roles:

Review Role Configuration:
- If you are responsible for role management, review the configuration of the roles to ensure they include the necessary authorizations for accessing partitioning objects and groups.
Testing:
- After making changes to roles or authorizations, have the user log out and log back in to see if the issue is resolved.
