  • What causes this issue?

    You attempted to read a version of an ABAP/4 Dictionary object that is
    not contained in the versions database.
    An error has occurred that is known, but which has not yet been located
    (as it cannot be reproduced).

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Please note that versions marked with mode = 'D' do not actually exist.
    These entries indicate only that the object with the displayed
    correction was deleted.
    If you have selected a version with mode <> 'D' and get this error
    message, you can correct the error by deleting the oldest version. To
    do this, proceed as follows:
    Open a new session and start report RSVRSAR1 in transaction SE38.
    Enter the following values as parameters:
    Object type: the type is located in the window title in the versions
    catalog.
    Object name: the name is also located in the window title.
    Selection: enter here the date of the oldest version.
    Activate the pushbutton <LS>Execute</>.
    Delete the selected version by pressing function key <LS>F14</> and
    confirming that you wish to delete in the pop-up window that is then
    displayed.
    Now call the versions catalog again.
