What causes this issue?

The settings in the configuration profile define which functions are
allowed when you configure a material. For example, if you select the
<ZH>Sales order</> setting in the configuration profile, but do not
define that manual changes to BOM items are allowed, you cannot delete,
insert, or change items in the sales order - even though these
functions are shown on the result screen of the BOM explosion.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
