CTS_CONFIG_MSG_CL018 - Overview

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

To enable communication of the CTS server with its managed systems, you
must configure RFC connections to the managed systems. For non-ABAP
systems, this means configuring RFC connections to the ABAP
communication system of the selected non-ABAP system.
In general, the following RFC connections must be configured.
<ZH>Transport Organizer Destination</>: Required for working with
transport requests (creating, deleting, or changing transport requests).
This destination is required for source systems only.
<ZH>Import Destination</>: Required for performing imports of CTS
    plug-ins
<ZH>Deploy Destination</>: The import process of a transport collection
needs this destination to be able to import transport requests that are
    assigned to a transport collection.
<ZH>Note</>: The Transport Organizer and import destinations are reused
from existing SAP Solution Manager destinations, if you are using Change
Request Management or Quality Gate Management (QGM). These destinations
are created when performing "Managed Systems Configuration" in SAP
Solution Manager Configuration (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP). You only need
to configure the Deploy destination. For the other destinations, check
in the SAP Solution Manager configuration that they are correct.

    System Response

The system displays that RFC connections are missing.
<ZH>Note</>: The system only checks for the existence of the RFC
connections. It does not check that the RFC connections have been
    configured correctly.

    How to fix this error?

If you are using Change Request Management or QGM on top of central CTS,
check that the RFC connections which were configured for Change Request
Management or QGM are correct. If necessary, correct them. Afterwards,
validate the system again. If the deploy destination is missing, you
    need to create it.
If you are not yet in the "Status Details" view, display it by choosing
"See details" in the "Status" column for the selected system.
Create the required RFC connections as indicated in the specific
    messages.
