  • Show details Hide details
  • Diagnosis
Duplicate product categories between display pallet components.
    System Response
You cannot add a display pallet with duplicate product categories having
    different unit of measures.
    Procedure
When adding a display pallet, the system determines the related
components and gets the associated product category of each component.
The unit of measure of each product category comes from the default unit
of measure of its associated component. When two components share the
same product category but have different units of measure, this causes
duplicate Product Categories with different units of measure which isn't
    supported by Trade Promotion.
You must ensure that the default unit of measure of the components
sharing the same product category is the same.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages (message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.

An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
