  • What causes this issue?

    You can only process the classification of characteristics of a WIP
    batch for WIP batches of the highest level. However, the selected WIP
    batch &V4& is not at the highest level.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

    The classification of the WIP batch is displayed by the system but
    cannot be changed.
    Succeeding WIP batches exist for the selected WIP batch &V4& (e.g. as
    the result of splitting the WIP batch). It is therefore no longer at the
    highest level.
    For this reason you <ZH>cannot</> perform the following functions for
    this WIP batch.
    @14@ <ZK>Copy WIP Batch</>
    @11@ <ZK>Delete WIP Batch</>
    @C8@ <ZK>Merge WIP Batches</>
    @58@ <ZK>Split WIP Batches</>
    With these functions, you can only process WIP batches of the highest
    level.

    How to fix this error?

    If you want to process the WIP batch &V4& with one of the above
    functions, you must first delete all succeedingWIP batches. In doing so,
    start with the WIP batches of the highest level.
