  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have attempted to assign an input batch as a predecessor batch to a
WIP batch that is not located at the lowest WIP batch level. This is not
    possible.
You can only assign an input batch as a predecessor batch to a WIP batch
at the lowest WIP batch level.
For WIP batches generated from existing WIP batches (e.g. by splitting
or copying), the system automatically generates a predecessor-batch
reference to the preceding WIP batch.
    Background
You can use the @I3@ <ZK>PB Ref.</> function to:
Initialize the assignment of a predecessor batch
If you want to initialize the assignment, you must remove the batch
number from the <ZK>Batch</> field of the corresponding goods issue line
    before performing the @I3@ <ZK>PB Ref.</> function.
    Assign a new predecessor batch
If you want to assign a different input batch as the predecessor batch,
enter the number of an existing input batch in the <ZK>Batch</> field of
the corresponding goods issue line before performing the @I3@ <ZK>PB
    Ref.</> function.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

    The system terminates the function.

    How to fix this error?

Select a WIP batch of the lowest WIP batch level and a goods issue line
    and then choose @I3@ <ZK>PB Ref.</>.
