Message text: Check category ADG. Query elements have duplicated GUIDs
A query element is defined by its technical name, 0SBO_C11 _Q003 for
example, and by the corresponding COMPUID, for example 037OLMX9
GF8CK9P23IV2MDO1H.
The COMPUID (GUID) is the unique object key and is generated when the
query element is created.
If queries with the same technical name are generated in different BW
systems, these query elements have different GUIDs. This means that if
both objects are transported into the same system, 2 GUIDS will exist
with the same technical name.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
<ZK>Example:</>Check table RSZCOMPDIR in your system landscape. You enter the technical
name of the query element in this table's COMPID field. Various objects
in different versions with different GUIDs are displayed.
Use the Content time stamp to try to determine the correct object
version.
Proceed as detailed in SAP Note 541024 and give the object a new
technical name.
If you are sure which object is correct and which is incorrect, you can
delete the incorrect object using transaction RSZDELETE with selection
COMPID.
<ZH>IMPORTANT: Once completed, deletion of objects is irreversible. If
objects are deleted in a development system, this has to be exported so
that the problem is fixed in the follow-up systems when the transport is
imported.</>

- Check category ADG. Query elements have duplicated GUIDs ?The SAP error message "CONT_TOOLS510 Check category ADG. Query elements have duplicated GUIDs" typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP HANA when there are issues with the metadata of a query, particularly when there are duplicate Global Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) for query elements.
Cause:
Duplicate GUIDs: The primary cause of this error is that two or more query elements (like characteristics, key figures, or variables) in a query definition have the same GUID. This can happen due to:
- Manual modifications in the query definition.
- Issues during transport of objects between systems.
- Errors during the creation or modification of queries.
Corrupted Metadata: Sometimes, the metadata of the query can become corrupted, leading to inconsistencies in the GUIDs.
Transport Issues: If the query was transported from one system to another, there might have been issues during the transport process that caused the duplication.
Solution:
Check Query Definition:
- Open the query in the Query Designer and check the properties of the query elements. Look for any elements that have the same GUID.
- If you find duplicates, you may need to remove or rename one of the elements.
Recreate the Query: If the query is complex and you cannot easily identify the duplicates, consider recreating the query from scratch. This can help ensure that all elements have unique GUIDs.
Check Transport Requests: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport request for any inconsistencies. You may need to re-transport the query or related objects.
Use SAP Tools: Utilize SAP tools like the "RSRT" transaction (for running queries) or "RSRQ" (for query monitoring) to analyze the query and its components. You can also use the "RS_BW_QUERY_CHECK" report to check for inconsistencies.
Consult SAP Notes: Check the SAP Support Portal for any relevant SAP Notes that might address this specific error. There may be patches or updates that resolve known issues related to query GUIDs.
Contact SAP Support: If the issue persists and you cannot resolve it, consider reaching out to SAP Support for assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your system configuration and the nature of the error.
