  • What causes this issue?

    The update rule could not be applied.
    A possible cause is:
    Generated structures that do not exist in the system are referenced in
    routines for the update rule. For details, see Note 542872. BW
    technology has changed the naming assignments of generated structures.
    Under no circumstances should you reference generated structures that
    are not generated when copying the required objects for the update rule.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    In most cases, an M version of the update rule has been generated.
    Search for this in the Administrator Workbench (RSA1). You can analyze
    and check the update rule there.
    Correct the error in the appropriate development and correction systems.
