Message text: Simulation not possible; save product &1 first
You wanted to simulate a configurable product. However, the

been saved. A PME class is created in the background for the
configurable product. You can only simulate the configuration once the
class has been saved in the database.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

COM_PRODUCT607
- Simulation not possible; save product &1 first ?The SAP error message COM_PRODUCT607 indicates that a simulation for a product cannot be performed because the product has not been saved yet. This typically occurs in the context of product master data or product lifecycle management (PLM) when trying to simulate a scenario (like a forecast, planning, or costing) for a product that is still in an unsaved state.
Cause:
- Unsaved Product: The primary cause of this error is that the product in question has not been saved in the system. This can happen if you are creating a new product or making changes to an existing product and have not yet saved those changes.
- Incomplete Data: Sometimes, the product may not have all the required data filled in, which prevents it from being saved properly.
- Session Issues: If there are issues with the session or if the system has timed out, it may lead to this error.
Solution:
Save the Product: The immediate solution is to save the product. Ensure that all required fields are filled out correctly and then save the product. After saving, you should be able to perform the simulation without encountering this error.
- Navigate to the product master data screen.
- Fill in all mandatory fields.
- Click on the "Save" button (usually represented by a disk icon).
Check for Required Fields: Before saving, ensure that all mandatory fields are completed. If any required fields are missing, the system will not allow you to save the product.
Reopen the Session: If you suspect that the session may have timed out or if there are other session-related issues, try logging out and logging back into the system, or simply refresh the session.
Review Product Data: If the product still cannot be saved, review the data entered for any inconsistencies or errors that might prevent saving.
