  • What causes this issue?

    Set types can be used in categories and alternative ID types. In both
    cases it is not possible to delete a set type. Display the where-used
    list to find out whether the set type is being used in a category.
    If the set type is not being used in a category it is probably being
    used in an alternative ID type.
    To find out whether this is the case, use transaction SE16 and enter the
    name of the set type in the field <LS>TABLE_NAME</> in table
    <LS>COMC_ALTID_FIELD</>.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    To delete this set type, delete the assignment to the object first.
