Message text: Duplicate values in number range interval detected
The database analysis detected duplicate document numbers inside a
number range interval. A potential reason for this is the deletion of a
year-dependent number range interval, resulting in same document number
being used in different years.
A year-dependent number range interval represents fiscal year 2003, and
another represents fiscal year 2004. For fiscal year 2003, document
numbers 1, 2, and 3 exist. For fiscal year 2004, document numbers 1 and
2 exist.
If the number range interval for fiscal year 2003 is deleted, the
corresponding numbers (1, and 2) will now lie in number range interval
2004, therefore resulting in duplicate values. This is because the year
value used to define year-dependent number range interval is not simply
a value for one specific year, but includes all previous years (from the
end of the previous interval if applicable) until the value <ZK>To Year
</>.
Duplicate numbers inside a number range interval represent
inconsistencies in the number range object. In order to ensure a proper
conversion of the number range object, these inconsistencies must be
resolved. To do this, call transaction SNRO, enter the affected number
range object, and select <ZK>Number Intervals</>. Create number range
intervals for the numbers specified in the following messages.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The SAP error message CNV_NCE_BAS500 indicates that there are duplicate values in a number range interval, which typically occurs during data migration or conversion processes. This error is often encountered in the context of SAP's data migration tools, such as the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or other conversion tools.
Cause: The error is caused by the presence of overlapping or duplicate entries in the number range intervals defined for a particular object or entity. This can happen due to: Incorrect Configuration: The number range intervals may have been incorrectly defined, leading to overlaps. Data Migration Issues: During data migration, if the same number range is used for multiple records, it can lead to duplicates. Manual Data Entry: If manual entries are made into the number range that conflict with existing entries, this can also cause duplicates.
Solution: To resolve the CNV_NCE_BAS500 error, you can follow these steps: Check Number Range Configuration: Go to the transaction code SNRO (Number Range
