Message text: NR interval &1: conflict with a NR number mapping
There exists predefined number range number mapping values. You have
chosen a target number range interval that has a number range number
that does not conform to these mapping values.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Predefined number range number mapping values are usually caused by
application requirements or by Customizing settings. It is not possible
to change them by means of SAP Landscape Transformation. Set the target
number range number so that it conforms to the predefined mapping
values.

CNV_NCE_BAS160
- NR interval &1: conflict with a NR number mapping ?The SAP error message CNV_NCE_BAS160 typically occurs during data migration or conversion processes, particularly when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or similar tools. This error indicates that there is a conflict with a number range (NR) mapping, specifically that the number range interval specified is conflicting with existing number range assignments.
Cause:
- Number Range Conflict: The error arises when the system detects that the number range interval you are trying to use is already assigned to another object or is overlapping with an existing number range.
- Incorrect Configuration: The number range mapping may not have been set up correctly, leading to conflicts during the data migration process.
- Data Overlap: If the data being migrated includes values that fall within the existing number range intervals, this can trigger the error.
Solution:
Check Number Range Configuration:
- Go to the transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects) and check the configuration of the number range object related to the error.
- Ensure that the intervals defined do not overlap with existing intervals for the same object.
Adjust Number Range Mapping:
- If you are using a custom number range mapping, review the mapping settings to ensure they are correctly defined and do not conflict with existing mappings.
- Modify the number range intervals to avoid conflicts.
Review Migration Data:
- Check the data you are trying to migrate to ensure that it does not contain values that would conflict with the existing number ranges.
- If necessary, adjust the data to fit within the defined number ranges.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific migration or conversion process you are using. There may be specific guidelines or best practices for handling number ranges.
Testing:
- After making adjustments, perform a test migration to ensure that the error does not occur again.
