You want to create a configuration that uses this source system in a
replication scenario. However, this source system is already being used
by a configuration in a 1:1 replication scenario.
Background
A 1:1 replication scenario is a scenario whereby one source system
replicates data to exactly one replication target. In a 1:N replication
scenario, data is replicated from one source system to multiple
replication targets. A replication target usually corresponds to a
database schema. In a 1:N replication scenario, data can be replicated
to multiple schemas in a single system, or to schemas in different
systems.
When you create a configuration, you can decide whether you want a 1:1
replication scenario, or a 1:N replication scenario. The option
<ZK>Allow Multiple Usage</> indicates that the scenario is a 1:N
replication scenario. If you do not choose this option, then the
scenario is a 1:1 replication scenario. That is, only one configuration
can use the source system. Note that for 1:N replication scenarios, a
maximum of &V1& configurations are permitted for a single source system.
Solution
If you want to have a 1:N replication scenario, there are two options:
You can either delete the configuration that uses the source system in a
1:1 replication scenario, and create a new configuration that uses the
option <ZK>Allow Multiple Usage</>.
You can switch from the 1:1 replication scenario to a 1:N replication
scenario. See SAP Note 1898479 for information about how to switch the
replication scenario.
