  • What causes this issue?

    The controlling area mapping states, that certain controlling areas will
    be merged. Some of these use CO templates (Activity-Based Costing). If
    two or more controlling areas are to be merged that use the same
    template name in the same environment the templates cannot be
    distinguished after the merge. Therefore the templates must be renamed
    before merging the controlling areas.
    Note that the content of the CO templates will not be converted.

    How to fix this error?

    Decide which of the source templates you want to rename. Call
    transaction CPT1 and create a copy of the templates. Reassign the
    objects that use the old template to the copy of the template
    (transaction KTPF, KS02, CP02, KEKW, KEI3 - depending on your
    customizing). Delete the old template by using transaction CPT1.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
