  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Cost elements are defined in a chart of accounts and then assigned to a
controlling area for a defined validity period. To this purpose, the
chart of accounts in which the cost element is defined must be assigned
    to the corresponding controlling area.
If cost elements with the same name exist in more than one controlling
area, it is in fact the same cost element if the corresponding
controlling areas have the same chart of accounts assigned.
In the mapping table, the new value &V2& has been defined for the cost
element &V3& in the controlling areas &V4.& However this means that
this new value is valid for all controlling areas that have the same
chart of accounts assigned. The controlling area &V1& has the same
chart of accounts as the controlling area &V4&, but there is no
mapping entry for the cost element &V2& in the controlling area &V1&.

    How to fix this error?

No action required. The check program automatically added a
corresponding mapping entry for the cost element &V2& in the
controlling area &V1& with the new value &V3&.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CNV_20375001 - For cost element &2 in KOKRS &1, mapping value &3 added due to KOKRS &4 ?

The SAP error message CNV_20375001 typically occurs during the data migration process, particularly when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or other data migration tools. This error is related to the mapping of cost elements in controlling areas (KOKRS) during the migration of financial data.

    Cause:

The error message indicates that there is a conflict or issue with the mapping of cost elements between different controlling areas. Specifically, it suggests that a mapping value for a cost element in one controlling area (KOKRS &1) has been added due to the existence of a mapping value in another controlling area (KOKRS &4). This can happen due to:

    1. Duplicate Cost Elements: The same cost element is being used in multiple controlling areas, leading to confusion in the mapping process.
    2. Inconsistent Mapping: The mapping configuration for cost elements is inconsistent or not properly defined across the controlling areas.
    3. Data Migration Configuration: The migration settings may not be correctly set up to handle the relationships between different controlling areas.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Review Mapping Configuration: Check the mapping configuration for cost elements in the migration tool. Ensure that each cost element is correctly mapped to the appropriate controlling area.

    2. Check for Duplicates: Verify if the cost element in question is duplicated across controlling areas. If so, you may need to consolidate or redefine the mappings to avoid conflicts.

    3. Adjust Migration Settings: If you are using a migration tool, review the settings and parameters to ensure they are correctly configured for handling multiple controlling areas.

    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific migration process you are using. There may be specific guidelines or best practices for handling cost element mappings.

    5. Testing: After making adjustments, perform a test migration to see if the error persists. This can help identify if the changes made have resolved the issue.

    6. Seek Support: If the issue continues, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide more tailored assistance based on your specific system configuration and migration scenario.
