Message type: E = Error
Message class: CNV_20200_CHECK - Messages for check functions (company code merge)
Message number: 150
Message text: Company codes are merged but not their associated CoCds for number assign
The participating company codes have different company codes for number
assignment. Company codes are merged but not their associated company
codes for number assignment.
Warning
If no mapping for the company codes for number assignment is maintained,
the target company code will use the company code for number assignment
of the reference company code. It is possible to rename company codes
for number assignment (for example to keep the same naming of company
code and associated company code for number assignment). It is also
possible to map several company codes for number assignment to one.
In this case, all company codes which have the source company codes for
number assignment are after the conversion assigned to the target
company code for number assignment.
If several ones are mapped onto one, the one with the reference
indicator would inherit its number range definitions. The source company
codes for number assignment would be removed unless they are the target
company codes for number assignment.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

CNV_20200_CHECK150
- Company codes are merged but not their associated CoCds for number assign ?The SAP error message CNV_20200_CHECK150 typically occurs during the data migration process, particularly when merging company codes. This error indicates that while the company codes have been merged, their associated Company Code Data (CoCds) for number assignment have not been properly aligned or merged.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Number Ranges: The number ranges for the company codes being merged may not be consistent or properly defined. Each company code has its own number range for various documents (like invoices, purchase orders, etc.), and if these are not aligned, the system will throw this error.
- Missing Configuration: The configuration for the number assignment for the merged company codes may not have been set up correctly, leading to discrepancies.
- Data Migration Issues: During the data migration process, if the mapping of number ranges between the old and new company codes is not done correctly, it can lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Number Ranges: Verify the number ranges for the company codes involved in the merge. Ensure that they are correctly defined and do not overlap. You can do this by navigating to the transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects) and checking the relevant number range objects.
- Adjust Configuration: If the number ranges are not aligned, you may need to adjust the configuration in the SAP system. This can involve:
- Merging the number ranges of the company codes.
- Creating new number ranges that can be used for the merged company code.
- Data Migration Tool: If you are using a data migration tool (like SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit), ensure that the mapping of number ranges is correctly defined in the migration settings.
- Run Consistency Checks: After making adjustments, run any available consistency checks to ensure that the company codes and their associated number ranges are correctly configured.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP you are using for any additional guidance on handling this error.
